A Couple of Things for Spring

Anchor Tag

I looked in the mirror this morning and my face was looking like winter. Winter is over, Spring is here, and my skin needs to look new and fresh and rosy.

So I decided that I would do a series of glyco peel from Natura Bissé. It is the best way to cure those winter skin doldrums. If you peel twice per week for six weeks, you can say goodbye to winter skin and hello to fresh bright spring skin.

Speaking of bright and fresh, the snow has melted and what is now being revealed? Beautiful spring greenery!

Ah- Choo!

Have you already started sneezing just thinking about it? I know I have. Time to click into allergy mode in my medicine chest, and I am armed with my Neti pot, my essential oil diffuser, and my allergy capsules. These are my everyday musts.

I keep in mind that, with every year, there a new and different challenges for me and my clients. This year I feel we will have to work on allergies, cough and cold, and these are the tools I use:

  • Use your Neti pot… This will keep the pollen from sticking to the walls of your nasal passages. Fill it with solutions that are buffered. You can also make your own solutions, with packets that are ready to put into water, or use old fashioned Alkalol.
  • Keep your essential oils diffusing… This will help open up your breathing passages and keep them clear. Diffuse with oils like clove, cinnamon and thyme. Use your Neti pot, then do a steam inhalation with the oils. After doing so, you will find it much easier to breathe while you sleep.
  • Head off allergy problems early… Northeast Allersode or tree pollen homeopathy, started early, can make a huge difference in how severe your symptoms get as allergy season progresses. so start now. Take one dose when you wake in the morning, and another at bedtime. If you can remember to take a lunch time dose, that should provide bonus relief.
  • If you can’t get ahead of the season with the measures above try Aller-Leaf from Gaia or Antronex from Standard Process.

You can always pop in and visit me if your symptoms are hard to manage. We will work through the challenges that allergy season 2015 brings to your household and find the right solutions for you.
